Hefeweizen

Hefeweizen

Nothing refreshes more than this naturally cloudy wheat beer with a yeasty aroma and flavours of banana and clove. Propeller Hefeweizen is made with special Weizen yeast, German Noble hops and equal amounts of barley and wheat malts and finished with higher than normal carbonation.

"Propeller’s version displays typical cloudiness with yeasty, spicy, banana, and dry savoury aromas. Very light and refreshing on the palate, with creamy texture and gentle, lightly fruity character, it finishes with a touch of dryness. The mild, refreshing style makes this a good summer brew that will appeal to most palates." (Sean Wood)

Yeast sediment is typical in this unfiltered classic German style. Prost.

What Others Are Saying
An excellent choice. I'm not normally a big Propeller fan, but the Hefeweizen really won me over
Formerly drunk only from the tap, this Propellar version tastes great from the bottle too... Phew! Maui Fisf Market in Paia is along way to travel for a beer. I drink no other.
I taste no banana in this wonderful beer. I am not sure that's the best way to describe such a fine crafted brew
Excellent beer!
big fan of Propeller IPA, so thought i'd give the Hefeweizen a try. on first taste, i thought, "not what i was expecting, a little bland"... then swallowed and this wonderful yeasty, sourdough flavour developed. delicious, and rewards subsequent quaffs.

I was excited to see this at the NSLC. I tried it for the first time in Maine last year and it was all I drank the whole time I was there. Great with a plate of nachos!
One of my favourite examples of Hefeweizen! Does anyone know what yeast this is bottled with? Is it the same yeast as the fermentation?
Very nice wheat beer. Refreshing!
Awesome. Excellent beer that needs to be in more heavy rotation.
